| Wilson Taveras Tavarez Kiteboarder from Cabarete, Dominican Republic
Wilson works for the kitesurf school KITEXCITE on Kitebeach in Cabarete. He started as ‘helper’ and since September 2000 as kite instructor. Within this time he has not only become one of the best kiters of the Dominican Republic but also one of the best kiters using Ramair in the world. Since January 2001 Brunotti is sponsoring him. This year (2001) he participated in the Kiteboarding World Championship 2001 Tour in Cabarete and was placed placed within the first 15 riders. He would like to go travelling around the world to check out the most popular places for kiting – the first spot he’d like to go to is Hawaii. He would also love to participate on an entire World Cup Tour – hopefully this dream will come true next year in 2002….
